The command structure of the Bangladesh Army is hierarchical, with divisions and brigades in charge of overseeing smaller groups of units. Minor units are smaller, either company-sized sub-units or platoons and major units are regiment or battalion-sized.
The Chief of Army Staff, a four-star general is the head of the Bangladesh Army.
Bangladesh Army has ten division-sized regional commands and one Army training and doctrine command under the command of Army Headquarters.
